There is an archetype (The Bone Woman) that walks with a woman especially when life begins to quieten…
when the roles loosen…
and also when the old ways of being feel too small to keep carrying.
She is known by many names, but for me, she is The Bone Woman.
She is the one who helps you to recognise what is still alive in you even after so much has fallen away.
Importantly, she is not dramatic.
She does not arrive with fire or urgency.
Instead, her presence is subtle, ancient, and unmistakably honest.
The Bone Woman comes to a woman when, in fact, she is finally ready to stop abandoning the deeper truths of herself.
The listening that happens beneath thought, beneath story, and in the quiet chambers of the body.
She shows you that endings are not failures; rather, they are thresholds.
She shows you that what has died does not need resurrection, and moreover,
She teaches a slower sorting: gently noticing what no longer belongs, and in doing so, recognising what still holds the shape of your truest self.
It is, in other words, just an honest meeting with the woman beneath the woman.
If this archetype is stirring something in you, then you might already be in this season
—the season where your life is asking for truth, bone truth, the kind that doesn’t waver.
A question for you to sit with: so,
what part of you feels steady—unchanged—even after everything you’ve lived through?

I’d love to know what rises for you.
