When running no longer works…

I’ve been sitting with one line from the Skeleton Woman story that keeps returning to me:

What happens next, when running no longer works?

It feels like such a quiet question, yet it carries so much depth.

This moment doesn’t announce itself as a crisis or a breakdown. More often, it arrives subtly.

Something has already surfaced in the body, the heart, the nervous system—and no amount of effort can push it back.

Gradually, distraction loses its pull. At the same time, explanations stop satisfying. And old ways of coping begin to feel thin.

Many women recognise this place.

Rather than panic, a kind of raw exposure appears. Instead of collapse, there’s a quiet recognition that old strategies no longer hold.

We reach the point where we can’t outrun what asks to be felt.

Skeleton Woman doesn’t offer answers or rush us toward resolution.

She stays.

That’s what we’ll explore in the Circle this month—what it means to stay in the body.

We won’t push for more feeling or analyse our way through. Instead, we’ll create enough warmth, rhythm, and closeness for the nervous system to soften, so life can begin to respond again, in its own time.

So often, we learn to move away from discomfort—to tidy it up, explain it, or transcend it.

Skeleton Woman offers a different feminine intelligence.

She shows us that life returns through presence, not force or urgency. It returns when we remain close enough for something real to breathe.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve created a handful of pieces around this—a written transmission, reflective questions for my online Circle, and a guided meditation to support the feminine body in staying without overwhelm.

These aren’t meant for rushing or consuming all at once. Come back to them slowly, as your body allows.

This is what the Circle is holding right now.

🐚 It is a space to meet what’s already here.

🐚 A place where staying is enough.

🐚 Where life is allowed to return quietly, without demand.

If this speaks to you, you’re very welcome to join us.

If you feel drawn to something more immersive—time away from the day-to-day, held by nature and a slower rhythm—my retreats carry this same thread.

They don’t help you escape life. They support you in meeting it more honestly, with space, care, and support.

You’ll find links for the Circle and retreats below if you’d like to explore further.

I’m so glad you’re here, taking a moment to pause with me.

These reflections come straight from the heart of the work—lived, breathed, and now shared with you.

Have courage, dear heart,

Charli ❤️🦁
