The Crescent Moon Bear: Wise Rage & Sacred Boundaries

🐻 THE CRESCENT MOON BEAR: Wise Rage & Sacred Boundaries
November in our Circle ⭕️
How much of your anger have you swallowed to remain a woman other people feel comfortable with?
You may recognise it for a moment, then rush to explain why someone didn’t mean it; your no becomes a yes before you’ve had time to hear yourself; or resentment builds around all the things you keep agreeing to, while you tell yourself you should be more understanding.
This month, we meet the bear within.
Drawing on “The Crescent Moon Bear”, as told by Clarissa Pinkola Estés in Women Who Run with the Wolves, we’ll explore our relationship with our own anger, our darkness and the protective strength we may have learned to fear.
Some parts of us have teeth – parts that feel furious, refuse, want more, and know when enough is enough.
What happens when we give those parts our attention?
What might we discover about what matters to us, and what we can no longer keep accommodating?
Through story, reflection and guided embodied exploration, we’ll make room to notice:
🐾 How we interrupt our anger with guilt, shame, apology or self-doubt.
🐾 What we fear might happen if we let our no be heard.
🐾 How protective strength feels through our movement, expression and voice.
🐾 What our anger may be asking us to acknowledge, protect or change.
There is room here for heat, tenderness, tears and uncertainty.
You can participate at your own pace, with space to pause, observe and choose.
Our love for ourselves needs room to become action, and sometimes that means a difficult conversation, a clearer boundary, or a decision we’ve been putting off.
This transmission opens a thread we’ll continue exploring more deeply throughout ATTUNE 🩷 where we have time to work with the patterns that surface around anger, connection and the consequences of honouring our own preferences.
For this evening, we begin by approaching the bear.
What might she have been trying to tell you? 🐻🌙
