La Llorona: Keeping the River Alive

💧 OCTOBER CIRCLE TRANSMISSION 💧
La Llorona: Keeping the River Alive
This October, inside the Wild Awakening Circle, we are returning to the waters.
Drawing from the La Llorona story in Women Who Run With the Wolves, we will be exploring the creative river within us – the part of us that moves, imagines, desires, expresses, creates and knows when something still has life in it, and we will be asking what happens when that river becomes crowded, depleted or polluted by everything we are taking in.
Other people’s needs.
Other people’s voices.
Comparison.
Noise.
News.
Advice.
Responsibility.
The constant stream of information asking for our attention.
We can consume and consume and consume, and somewhere along the way lose touch with the question:
What am I creating?
And by creating, I don’t mean producing more, I mean the deeper creative life.
Movement.
Words.
Touch.
Ideas.
Food.
Beauty.
Pleasure.
Conversation.
Gardening.
Making a home.
Imagining another way.
Allowing something that has been living quietly inside us to finally move.
This transmission will take us into the relationship between the female nervous system, creativity, nourishment and life-force.
We will explore the difference between what briefly stimulates us and what genuinely feeds us, what happens when too much of our energy is continually moving outwards, and how we begin to hear the quieter currents underneath all the noise.
We will be sitting with questions such as:
💧 What is draining my river?
💧 What am I consuming?
💧 What am I creating?
💧 Where has my inner world become crowded with other people’s voices?
💧 What genuinely nourishes me after the moment has passed?
💧 What have I stopped making, saying, moving, imagining or desiring?
💧 What deserves water now?
Autumn gives us such a beautiful place to explore this.
The natural world is no longer pouring all of herself into growth.
She is gathering, conserving, releasing, and turning inward, and maybe there is something for us here too.
Not another demand to become more creative, or another instruction to use our energy better, but an invitation to notice what keeps our river alive.
