“I am my own biggest critic. Before anyone else has criticized me, I have already criticized myself. But for the rest of my life, I am going to be with me and I don’t want to spend my life with someone who is always critical. So I am going to stop being my own critic. It’s high time that I accept all the great things about me.”
― C. JoyBell C.
Each chapter in my life writes its own lines of success, failures, loss of friendships, new friendships, meeting goals or crumbling having not reached the goal.
Success is never going to be easy and no-ones story is going to be the same for we are all unique.
Today you are creating a story that you will be telling years from now so make it a story worth telling!
For me (now) Fitness is my identity.
It hasn’t always been that way. My story was one of loss that turned into addiction. Addiction to self sabotage, self abuse, self hatred. You can see clearly from the picture on the left that my body + face represented that abuse..
Fitness has become my saviour, it has got me through some of my worst days and has been an outlet for all kinds of emotions, the good and the bad.
Fitness is now what I LOVE! I am passionate about it and I hope that I have been able to encourage some of you somewhere along your journey to success.
I do believe that this is 100% what I am supposed to be doing and it has been a long difficult journey to get where I am today!
When I look back on the journey of my life for the last 22 years especially, some of the battles I have been through (since the loss of my brother and the father that I knew) it brings me both pain and joy. Trying to figure life out is TOUGH!
I know every single struggle serves its purpose and I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if those trials weren’t placed in my life 😉
Regardless of your journey, of what you look like, be your own best self, be your own cheerleader rather than a critic. We live in a fast paced world that is difficult to keep up with sometimes. It can pressure us to produce more, be more and go more. Its easy to get caught up in that and lose sight of your purpose. We’ve all been given a gift, you just have to figure out what that gift is and share it..
Taking care of YOU is a part of your journey. Honour your own journey. Have a happy Saturday today and spend time with people you love or doing something that you LOVE 💜
