    A recent article published by on: www.technologynetworks.com discusses the latest research on the healing benefits of nature as a free and natural stress-relieving remedy – the nature pill – for reducing negative health impacts stemming from an increase in device usage and indoor lifestyles.

    Nature can work wonders for the soul

    I know, as it helped me tremendously, and has done for many years. I built up my last business being outside in nature.

    Nature is so important for wellbeing. It calms our nervous systems to restore our wonderful and precious bodies, especially women in their 3rd age, so get outside regularly and your body and mind will thank you for it.

    Ask yourself, how much time do you set aside for you?

    And then, how much of this time is spent within nature?

    As I went on my journey to self-love, nature was key and it means so much for me to be able to share this to help other women with their wellbeing, to get them to a place of self-love. To get them to a place of acceptance.

    The real benefits of nature for wellbeing

    In the throes of severe complex PTSD and anxiety, I set on my travels to discover a natural experience for healing and restorative powers which took me to the mountains and forests of Andalucía in Spain where I found nature at its best.  I made a true connection that helped me to find myself by allowing nature take over my every being, taking me away from modern day life, the rat race, media and technology. I realised in those moments of stillness the real benefits of nature for wellbeing, especially anxiety.

    Being deep in the depths of Andalucía had a profound, enriching impact on me that will stay with me forever

    I camped in the glades to experience our natural world which many of us tend to (sadly) have little time for. You may think that I am being a bit woo-woo but by having conversations with the wild animals and being at one with nature I felt truly uplifted by my Andalusian surroundings in a deeply fulfilling and magical way. I completely detached myself from my everyday existence to fully recharge and reset in an oasis of natural calm and beauty where I…

    • learned that we all have thirty senses – who knew?
    • discovered the story of the landscape.
    • learned the language of the birds (don’t call me the bird whisperer – ha ha) and how this communicates what is happening around in our natural environment. 
    • found wild food and medicinal herbs that I continue to gather every time I go back to where I found myself.
    • reconnected with my wild roots as I tuned in to my Spanish surroundings.
    • found that being in nature unlocked my creative mental brilliance after so many of life’s ups and downs.
    • felt a true sense of belonging. I FOUND MYSELF.

    A deep nature retreat experience that is so much more than words can explain

    You just have to feel it; you’ll have to come along and experience it for yourself as I find it difficult to express in words what I felt during this adventure. It amounts to so much more than words, but what I can do is share this magnificent life-changing experience with other women, through my deep nature retreats – a healing experience like no other.
