I am very pleased to tell you guys, that Cambridge Bootcamps won an award at the Velvet awards on Friday night. Laura, Adrijana and I went along nervously in our posh frocks (YES, no trainers ;)) and were very happy and proud when they called out our name. I have never won anything before (apart from a fluffy donkey when I was 7!!) So, this was a real achievement given that we have now been going since 2009. The award that we won was ”HIGHLY COMMENDED IN DIET AND FITNESS” which is a REAL honour. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150301775469161&set=a.10150199374714161.325896.145954914160&type=1&theater
I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all who voted for us, and for your loyal, valued support. It really made all the hard work worth it, and we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you lovely ladies!! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
We would REALLY like you to come and celebrate in style with us at the BootCamp Ball, in aid of Parkinson’s UK. As you know we are supporting the phenomenal courage of the Oar Raisers, two young men who will be rowing the Atlantic (Tom and Chris) – Not only that we will be celebrating your achievements in confidence, health and strength, promoting our mantra ‘Strong is the new skinny’ ;)) The ball is open to everyone, and the tickets have now been reduced to £40 per head. For this you will receive reception drinks, 3 course meal, wine on the table, and the amazing band Bijoumiyo. It would be the icing on the raw carrot cake if you could join us on what promises to be a spectacular evening — PLUS you will see Laura, Donna, Adrijana and I in our posh frocks again!!! A rarity!! Burpees on the dance floor anyone??
Thank you for all the amazing testimonials that have come in the win two free tickets for the ball. Keep ’em coming though, closing date August 31st.. It will be very very hard to pick a winner; some of the stories are overwhelming. This is why I LOVE my job, you girls really do ROCK my world and embody all that we encompass here at Cambridge Bootcamps – Fit, feisty, fierce females who support, encourage and embrace each other (and us) 😉
We are missing Donna, and wishing her all the best in Canada, and congratulations to Adrijana who has worked very hard to get the Coldhams Common bootcamp off the ground.
Next phase is Girton early morning camp with our Banksy http://www.laurabanks.co.uk/lauras-blog/ and a new location is being talked about either at Cherry Hinton or Shelford for 9.30 or 10am. Not to forget our new studio launch in September ‘Cambridge Kettebelles’ with new Kettlebelle work-shops, 1-2-1 training, and semi private training.
Lots of exciting things to look forward to, and all this with you lot right behind us.
As we are growing, there may be a place for a good admin person to come in and work with us. If this is something you would be interested in, please do email me at CambridgeBootcamps@gmail.com
Have a great Sunday,
